Moe Moe, a university student, came to our Bible study five years ago.

She sat quietly during the three hour Bible study because she came to meet her friends and hang out with them afterwards. I sat down beside her and invited her to come over and cook lunch together the following week. We became close friends and I encouraged her to continue coming to the Bible study.

Gradually, I introduced inductive Bible study to help the students engage with the text itself, to share together about what is written in the word, and how to apply it in their lives.

One day, we did a Bible study on the lost son. After the study, Moe Moe came up to me and said that she felt God waiting for her so that he could love her. She knew the story, but this was the first time she understood God’s love for her personally. She decided to commit her life to Jesus. Moe Moe continued to grow in faith, and after some time, she had the joy of leading her mother to Jesus.

She is now leading a Bible study group and is a good role model for the students. They can learn from her and follow her example.

• Student Bible study groups to meet on university campuses.
• Student leaders to be equipped to lead Bible studies and be a role model for others.
